In response to the immediate needs of individuals rescued from human trafficking, New Hope has established a permanent collection and will deliver these priority items to trusted response teams to benefit survivors as they transition out of slavery. When their chance for freedom comes trafficking survivors usually don’t have time to pack. Basic necessities are often left behind but make a huge difference in their healing process. Often, personal items like cell phones are surrendered to the police to be used as legal evidence for prosecution. Care packs are needed year-round by organizations involved in rescue. You may assemble a complete pack or donate specific items to be used for future assembly. Please look for the donation bin marked to receive used cell phones: an important lifeline for survivors who have had to leave all of their belongings behind. We also have a bin marked for toiletry items to help as survivors reside in a safe location.
We kindly request used cell phones (gen 5 and up)
Recommended toiletry items include:
Shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, body wash, combs and brushes, toothpaste and toothbrushes, women's sanitary items, flip-flops, and lotion.
