Online Giving FAQs


What types of bank accounts can I give from?

You can give online from your checking account or from these credit card providers: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express. If you want to save the church fees it’s best to set up your giving through your checking account.

Are there any fees involved with giving online?

Not to you. New Hope covers all the processing fees for online credit, debit, and ACH transactions. If you would like to cover the cost of fees, you can do so by increasing your gift by 2.3%

Can I make a one-time or recurring contribution?

Yes. You have the option of either making a one-time gift or setting up a recurring gift. For a one- time gift, you can designate if the gift should be made immediately or you can schedule the gift to come out of your bank account on the date(s) specified by you. Likewise, recurring gifts can be scheduled on the dates that work best for you.

Can I change my personal information, amount or frequency of my gift once I have set it up?

Yes. You can change or cancel your contribution at any time before the date of your next contribution. Simply log in using your user name and password to make the necessary changes.

If I add a new gift, will it cancel out other scheduled gifts?

No, adding a new gift, even on the same date and/or frequency, will NOT override other recurring gifts. Having multiple scheduled gifts at once is possible. To overwrite past scheduled gifts, gifts must be canceled.

Can I give to a purpose that does not appear?

We are sorry, but only the purposes currently appearing are accepted (General, Building, etc.). Any memos added when submitting your gift will NOT change the designation.

Can I review my donation history online?

Yes. You are able view the complete history of your contributions. If you have an online account your history will be on there. If you give by check, you will need to create an online account that we will then manually connect your with your previous information.

Will I still receive regular contribution statements from the church?

New Hope will send year-end contribution statements to your address on file for tax purposes.

When will my contributions be given from my account?

Your contributions will be given from your specified bank account within 48 business hours of the date you requested. This time frame allows time for the contribution to process through your bank and the church’s bank. If the date of your contribution falls on a weekend or a holiday, the transaction will be initiated on the next banking day.

Is giving secure?

Giving to New Hope is safe and secure. Pushpay is an end-to-end PCI Level-1 compliant platform and industry leader in security solutions. We closely guard your personal information.

Is giving to New Hope responsible?

We take every dollar contributed to the mission of New Hope seriously. We work hard to ensure responsible spending and careful accounting. We have a yearly audit and board oversight.
