Small Group Leaders (1st-5th)

Description: Small Group Leaders connect relationally with a small group of grade specific kids each week, foster positive community, speak truth into the kid’s lives, and celebrate spiritual growth. Their other goal is to develop a relationship with the parents of “their” group of kids.
Time Commitment: 1 service, 2-4 times a month for approximately 100 minutes/week (~20 minutes prep required) arriving 30 minutes prior to and staying 15 minutes after service

Infant/Toddler Team Member

Description: As a team, the infant/toddler team facilitates the morning Bible lesson, songs, and activities. They foster a positive community in the classroom, and speak truth into the kid’s lives. A team member wears a welcoming smile, may engage in “on the floor” activities, and is responsible for providing basic needs for the kids (snack/bottle, bathroom, washing hands, diapers, etc).
Time Commitment: 1 service, 1-4 times a month for approximately 100 minutes/week (minimal prep required) arriving 30 minutes prior to and staying 10 minutes after service

Welcome/Check-in

Description: As families enter we want them to feel at home. We want to alleviate any anxiety or confusion. As a welcome person you will greet families, connect with new families and help them register, and communicate the heart behind Kids Community while answering any questions. You will also be trained to operate our touch screen check-in computers.
Time Commitment: 1 service, 1 - 4 times a month for approximately 55 minutes/week (no outside prep) arriving 30 minutes prior to and staying 25 minutes after service starts

Safety Team

Description: SafeKids is the Kids Community safety team focused on keeping kids safe. They are tasked to identify, respond, and report anything outside of normal operations. A SafeKids member has a good attention to detail, can handle confrontation, and yet must maintain a calm and welcoming demeanor. In case of an emergency, they will aid in lockdown or evacuation. There is some additional training.
Time Commitment: 1 service, 1-2 times a month for approximately 100 minutes/week (no prep) arriving 30 minutes prior to and staying 10 minutes after service

Cleaning Team

Description: Keep our kids’ spaces clean and safe. The cleaning team will maintain a weekly cleaning routine and a monthly deep cleaning regime. Cleaning mainly includes toys and classroom surfaces.
Time Commitment: 2-4 times a month for approximately 20-40 minutes/week (no prep). These tasks can be completed on Sundays or during the week.

Cirriculum Prep Team

Description: The curriculum prep team meets once a month to put materials together for kids activities. This often involves counting, cutting, and sorting things. The job can be done standing or sitting. These materials are used on Sundays during small group time to aid in the kids’ lessons. This group is also called upon to help prep for special events as well.
Time Commitment: 1 time a month for approximately 1-2 hours/month.

Setup Team
Number of Volunteers Needed for Role: 4

Description: Each of our classrooms needs to be setup on Sunday mornings. The Setup team would be responsible for ensuring all rooms are ready according to specification. Setup will include placing chairs, tables, activity stations, toys, and A/V equipment. A team member will need to be able to lift small items and have a strong attention to detail.
Time Commitment: 2-4 times a month for approximately 30 minutes/week (no prep) arriving 50 minutes prior to service.
